Terms of Service

These terms cover our free homepage designs and the websites we build and run for clients. Tremont Media is a trade name of Flame Lab LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("we" or "us"). By asking for a quote or designs, or by starting a project with us, you agree to them.

Free homepage designs

Looking at your designs is free and carries no obligation. They're concepts for you to judge, and their photos are stand-ins until you send your own. Preview links work for 14 days. We may decline any request.

Quotes and projects

Every project starts with a written quote. It sets out what we'll build, the price, the timeline, how and when you pay, and any monthly plan for hosting and updates. When you accept a quote, it becomes part of these terms. If the quote and these terms disagree, the quote wins.

Each quote says whether sales tax is included, and how long the quote is good for.

Monthly plans

If your quote includes a monthly plan, it renews each month until you cancel, as your quote describes. If its price ever changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead.

What no one can promise

We build every site to be clear to customers, search engines, and AI assistants. But no one controls how Google or any AI assistant ranks or recommends a business, so we make no promise about rankings, traffic, calls, or sales.

Your content and web address

Your words, photos, and business information stay yours. You let us use them to build and run your site, and you confirm you have the right to use what you send us. Your web address is registered in your name, and we'll send you your site's text and photos whenever you ask.

Using your site

Don't use your site for anything unlawful, misleading, or harmful to others. We may decline changes like that, and we may suspend a site that breaks these terms after telling you why.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep your site online and correct, but we provide the service "as is" and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Disputes

Connecticut law governs these terms, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut. Before filing anything, please email us so we can try to make it right.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top, and we'll email clients at least 30 days before a material change takes effect.
